The town of Saratok circa 1971. The extremely tall building on the right is the municipal badminton building, three stories tall. If you imagine each long row of buildings to be a loaf of bread, each shop house is a slice. The shopkeeper and his family live in the back.

This is the town, smaller than Saratok. Just five shophouses. Second Division was full of these little places. One of the shops here baked "pow", a steamed bun, with toasted coconut filling.

ni la tugu pekan saratok.....sarawak kan terkenal ngan tugu2 or simbol2 binatang....saratok simbol udang...aku pun xphm...bukan nyer byk udg pun cni......laut pun jauh.........

tugu neh ada btol2 kat tgh pekan saratok.............majlis daerah saratok nyer......kat sblah ye da la taman permainan awam n gelanggang bola keranjang.......

ha....ni la hospital saratok.....tempat aku dok ulang alik tiap2 ari...............bukan sakit tp keje......sgguh membosankn tp....nk bt cmne....kena guna pkai lirik lagu kementerian kesihatan
